Marcus H. and Susan are on holiday in Crete - they've sent some photos through.
Spili is a village in the Rethymno regional unit, Crete
Kamares is a village in south-central Crete. It is the location of an archeological site of a Minoan sacred cave.
Kedros - Mount Kedros, is a conical-shaped limestone mountain on the island of Crete in Greece. It is located southwest of the Ida massif with which it forms the two flanks of the Amari Valley. 1777 m ( 5830' )

Wonderful pictures Maggi.
I remember my visit to Greece, not Crete though....
While visiting some monasteries I came across a plant later IDed as Campanula versicolor... been looking for it ever since.
