Most garden centres in the UK now stock the usual red form - and at about half the price of Rareplants! expect 10 bulbs for about £2.99

has anyone had success starting Bessera elegans from seed?
the seed is ripe now at end of August in N. hemisphere , in nature i expect the seed to drop now and get started before the winter drought.
or should i wait to start in May?
Thanks Rimmer

Hi Rimmer ,
I have sown seeds of my Bessera purple form last year in spring ( March )
My idea was it is a summer growing plants ...so it should sown in spring
I had only few seeds ...but they all comes up - and they looks well
....my mother plant ( Bessera purple form ) is died in mean time ...so I hope the color is stabil with the seedlings
