Nice to see Plumbago indica.  I bought a small plant of this at a local garden centre many years ago.  I still have it.  This is the first time I have seen another plant of it.
I had Columnea x banksii as a house plant once but it is long gone.

Thanks chaps! As a regular visitor there will be updates. Unfortunately by the time I got outdoors on Sunday it was raining.

I think it's Nonea lutea which can be an absolute thug. I weeded it out of our garden after its second season when nearly every seed from the previous year seemed to germinate; several seedlings still managed to appear even 5 or more years,

To be honest it is all starting rather late this year. The Sophora davjdii (for example) only has barely visible flower buds at the moment.

Verbascum olympicum?

Verbascum looks a bit like 'Christo's Yellow Lightning', which I think is actually a true (if unidentified) species, the leaves are quite green on CYL rather than the golden effect of V. olympicum; but then there are so many Verbascum species & they all look the same
