THE DOLOMITES LAND OF CORAL - MOUNTAINS OF DREAMS

The Dolomites part 3

by Cliff Booker

It seems barely possible that it is over two years since Part Two of this continuing article was posted, two years during which I have finally managed to find an opportunity to download, sort, assess and catalogue a host of images captured in the Dolomites over the past three visits.

It is my intention (with the very kind and welcome assistance of our wonderful administrators) to post a further series of pictorial essays that may serve to encourage alpine enthusiasts to visit these magnificent mountains.

The photographs were all captured in the month of June in the central Dolomites, in an area to the north of the Marmolada and centred on the beautiful town of Arabba. The images will feature not only the fascinating flora but also the remarkable scenery of the region and will be interspersed with shots taken during our stints as wildflower walk leaders for Collett's Mountain Holidays.
