Maggi, thanks a lot for your help.
I hope to see many forumists in Czech Republic in 2013. There will be plenty of time and opportunities for networking, so don't miss it. We will also appreciate if you spread this info in your local clubs. If you have also some nice memories from 2007, can you please share them here.

Dear Jiri... the forum already has many pages of reports about that wonderful event in 2007 :

Pages and pages about the wonderful conference, the great show of plants, the many tours to fantastic gardens.... all the great people the vistors met... it is all here!

I have not spoken to anyone who attended the first conference who is not happily looking forward to the second. I expect many forumists who attended will tell of their intentions to travel again.... I know several who are waiting to make their bookings!

Hi Mark, I wondered  who will react first :) ;D
No problem you are on the list and you should start to save money for plants purchase.

I could pay now to make sure I have a seat and room  :D but that's my snowdrop spending money.

Any forum member who is in to plants should go. It's unbelievable what the Czechs can do in their gardens with plants

Otto, Viv, Cynthia, Will and I have all indicated a willingness to attend! Are you really coming as well, Maggi? It would be grand if you did!
I hope we can afford the time to stay for the post-conference tour as well! Last time, my personal Post Conference Tour took me to Stockholm, Goteborg, Perthshire, Pitlochry, Edinburgh and Aberdeen!
cheers

Maybe this year we go to Peter Korn to work up some hunger, and then next year take on the wonders of Czech gardens! I have a taster on a DVD I was given, and some great talks we have had by people who have visited before. (Would love to hear Ron Ratko having had much seed from him in the past).

A  Young Alpine Parrot brought into the friendly crowd of Forumists an evergreen branch and the news about our Second International conference in May 2013. Now it is the right time for the senior of Czech rock gardeners to write a short e-invitation.

May is always a charming time in the  Central European steppe; for poets it is time of love and for the keen plant photographers it is a time of harvest. The Czech warm limestone steppes have a May Show with  Adonis vernalis and Prague Rock Garden Club will prepare its outcrops and shop for foreign visitors at the same time.

Adonis vernalis in Czech steppe –Vlastimil Braun

The  last conference had minimum of mistakes (some speakers had no idea how to finish in time and the record amount of lectures did not provide enough free time for personal conversations. We plan to have at most 10 lectures and one competitive stone work shop. Conference hall and hotel are built in the structures of old brewery and the capacity of the hall is double than in our First Conference. We can have more delegates for this venue and people can enjoy quiet time in the very medieval Old Town  of Tábor.

There is no rush to book your place just for the Conference (the fee will be paid after September 2012) but the Post Conference Tour is limited to 120 persons (four buses with guides). We will show you new rock gardens and improved old rock gardens. During the  last six years the assortment of rock garden plants changed a lot for the better. Many unknown plants will be seen there.

The early bird who asked for first registration was Olga Bondareva (with other Russian lady). Irish Mark Smyth is the third delegate and the large Australian delegation is great surprise! I am sure that with the help of Czech Pilsen lagers and Moravian wines we can achieve a warm snake session microclimate at the place! Please come and do not spare your horses.

Thanks to our sister the SRGC and our kind mom Maggi Young for their help to spread our news,

   sincerely,
     ZZ
