Emmenopterys henryi is flowering at the Cambridge Botanic Garden for the first time in thirty years.  Apparently it is in flower for about ten days and as you will see from the photo is only the fifth time in the UK.  Below is the link to the CBG web site page.

I like mysteries and am enjoying 'Cadfael'. I have all(?) 19 on my Kindle, but spotted this error about halfway down this page of book 12, 'A Raven in the Foregate'.

Yes really, there are several varieties and we have seen two recently on garden visits, the fruits on this picture are black, others are blue...

black and blue berries are on Viburnum, but most of them here flower in spring?
