We've always had BBQ's all winter - it was traditional for Ian to cook one on New Years day - and there has always been a BBQ on my birthday whatever the weather.   ;D

Thanks for the extra wishes - I've just noticed them.

It's never too late Dom, which reminds me to be pleased John had a good one. I'm not very good at looking at the calendar until too late so I miss many. I'll try to do better in future. :)

There seemed little point in posting birthday greeting to dear BlackPudding Girl, Shelagh, here before now, because I knew she would be out all day at the Hexham show, but she  will be home by now and may have a moment to check in.... I have a sneaking idea that she may have had a fun day at the show, eating celebratory cake with lots of chums.... and celebrating the Gold Medal won by Clare Dower, too... a good day all round, I reckon!
Many happy returns of the Day , Shelagh!  :-*

These e-cards are brilliant. Maggi is definitely a fairy God sister (she's younger than me)!

A wonderful day I hope Shelagh and something more inspiring to eat than Black Pudding! (Though I realize that is probably a heretical thing to say, knowing you to be a loyal Yorkshire woman. ;D)

I thought black pudding came from the west coast of Yorkshire i.e. Lancashire. ::)

I'm quite comforted by someone whose geography is worse than mine!

Lesley.... were you just teasing Shelagh and trying to put her off her breakfast by mixing Yorkshire and Lancashire? :-\
