Meconopsis World
« on: April 19, 2009, 06:18:44 PM »
Meconopsis World is a site that will be of particular interest to Mec lovers, though there is much to intrigue other growers in the life of these glorious "poppies"...... the site is the work of  Dr James Cobb, meconopsis maven  who, with the technical help of Stephen Turbritt had compiled a photo reference to Meconopsis that is second to none. James has called  upon the help of many friends.... skilled growers and plantsfolk, and almost all of the ID photos are from the wild....it is hoped that as time goes on, more detailed shots to show diagnostic factors can be added to enhance the site.

See  link  in next  post ....below.

Many of you will be familiar with James Cobb's book  on Meconopsis and will realise there is no-one more suited to guide us through the genus.

James L.S.Cobb : Meconopsis - published in association with the Hardy Plant Society by Helm and Timber Press 1989
ISBN0-7470-0427-7

As the meconopsis in my garden begin to extend their new growth, I thought this  a good time to commend the site to you ...... I hope you enjoy it!
