For those who want to check their seed packet numbers against the seedlsit, please be sure to use the relevant , current, seedlist to do that - it is  is on the main seed page  http://www.srgc.net/site/index.php/extensions/seed-exchange   where it says
To browse/download the SRGC Seedlist No. 69 Seedlist pdf ..... and is also added to the archived list of seedlists further down that page.

That's good, Ashley - I know sometime mail to  Southern Ireland takes ages to arrive.

In fairness, last year was the only time there was a delay.
Because this coincided with a change-over in the distribution team I was probably too quick to inquire, while they were still busy getting the surplus seed out.

Glad to hear it's not  a regular thing!

The last sacks of surplus seeds went off to the post office today - all that remains to be posted are the orders which include the "easy 10" and some US orders awaiting documentation. The "easy 10" orders will be posted very soon.
We are taking the weekend off, and doing stocktaking on Monday. Many thanks to everyone who has helped to make the seed exchange possible, it's a huge amount of work, all done by a large number of volunteers from all over the UK, but when the job is shared, it becomes manageable.

I've finally found time to catalogue my seeds and always like to add provenance details where available. I have received from the exchange "1057 Crocus laevigatus ex JJA347.241" but can't find it on the Archibold Master list and a Google search doesn't help either.

There is a JJA347.421 listed:
Quote
347.421 : CROCUS LAEVIGATUS Greece, Crete, Mt. Vouvala. Ex an A. Edwards coll..

Has there been a simple typo error transposing the '2' and '4'? Or does a JJA 347.241 really exist and does anyone know anything about it?

Many thanks!
