At  the stand of Jacques Amand,  a group of old pals met up for a photo opportunity!
Big John Amand, Ian Bulb Despot Young, that ubiquitous Gallovidian  Colin Crosbie and a lady I haven't seen  for too long - Mary Randall of AGS, Frit Group, RHC etc etc!!

.....wears them for a year in his garden - I did wonder what  the aroma  was as we built the stand!

Got a query today  asking if there was a full plant list of the plants on the display?  Does such a thing exist and if so could it be  published  to  go with  the photos?

Strange how some plants attract more interest than most.  Having spent much of today on the stand, I can confirm what Ian C says - there was a huge interest in Meconopsis plants generally, and in Mec. punicea 'Sichuan Silk' in particular, and of course we had a big clump on our display.  The seeds were doing a very good trade, especially the 'fine seeds' in packets with coloured pictures on the front.

The whole stand is a huge credit to the hard work done by everyone during the week.  Liz Mills in particular seems to have driven round most of Scotland at least twice in recent weeks picking up plants for the stand!

We did a quick count of labels and there are over 130 ie that number of different  types of plant - the actual number of plants is  higher as there is more than one pot of some species.  We would have to make up the list which could be done tomorrow but it would not be on this forum until the show is over

Quite an impressive number , Stan!

I think a list would be of interest, even if  posted  here rather  later.
In future, would a list printed of the plants in the display be something that visitors would be interested  in at the show?  I think it is something that happens at some shows?

Possibly but that presumes  we  do a similar stand  in 2016. Several people are unlikely  to be available  next year so  there will have to be a follow-up meeting at some point to discuss  2016. It is virtually certain  the club will have a presence at Gardening  Scotland but what form  that will take is less certain.

 Ian, your wonderful wife, Ann, the Kindest  Christie Kind , is an all round gem of a woman and worth far more than her weight in gold!  Bravo Ann - and thank you for going to all that trouble.  I think that there will be many interested in the list, here in the forum and beyond.

I was hoping to see the stand on Beechgrove Garden, but the weather was so bad here that it interfered with the broadcast and was unwatchable.  Such a pity.

Can't you get  the programme now on i-player, Arthur?  Yes, the SRGC stand did feature briefly - Jim McCollwas pictured admiring  it, and commenting  that all the plants were well-labelled  and that that was to be expected because after all this was the stand of the Scottish Rock Garden Club who are specialists  - that's more or less a quote!
