The show is being prepared - the banners is up outside the venue

and there will be a spectacular  array of Saxifragas  - this photo is from the collection of Karel Lang
( I mistook it  earlier as being from the show )

They know a thing or two, those Czechs. How to grow mouth-watering Sax's and a show that lasts almost 2 weeks. Heaven!

What a glorious picture... now this is what we want for the troughs in our front garden :D. Hope there may be a reporter at the Show.

Wow!
Maybe the third Czech International Rock Garden Conference will have to be held in March so that we can visit the "early" spring show?
 ;D

Praha show stalwart - and part of the IRG Team too - ZZ ( Zdeněk Zvolánek )- in characteristic pose!

The sales area at the Praha alpine show - a very extensive selection of plants - to rival the display!

Preparation for the Spring Show of Klub skalničkářů Praha - all show plants displayed beautifully outside - we hope for good weather for the show - on till 3rd April

The picture of the saxes is spectacular, no matter where it was taken.  The sight of the sales area is enough to wish one could be there even for one day.  Hope someone will be taking pictures of the plants in the show.

It seems to me there may be Czechs who can't grow alpines - but I've yet to meet any!

Somptuous saxifraga. The display table should only be  temptation.

Happy to, David - keep looking at the sunny photos and remembering the absolute deluge of rain the day we visited the May show in 2013. I cannot ever remember being out in such heavy rain. The trough day at the Christie's place many years ago was wet, very wet, I was soaked to the skin- but it wasn't so heavy - the rain in Prague that day was how I imagine it would feel standing under the Niagara Falls!   I do hope the weather stays nice for the duration of the show.
