Hi Simon,
Thanks for posting these lovely pics! It's great to see so many Australian and other Southern Hemisphere plants grown in Germany!
Someone should point out to them that what they have labelled as Narcissus canaliculatus (reply #25) is actually a hoop petticoat daffodil (unless the label is for the pot in front)!

Will take more time to watch the pics closely.

I was lucky enough to do a 10 days work-period there in spring 2011. But lost all the pics I had taken due to computer crash soon after    Leitmotiv: always and always make sure the pics are saved twice elsewhere...
That was dumb, the tropical houses are just stunning, really loved the atmosphere, the settings, the way it's made. Some places just make you feel you'd be in the nature.

I totally agree some parrots would be a nice addition to the whole Maggie.
And David I have got no photos of the Schachen at the moment, I havent been up there yet but it is on my list maybee in April. I dont think that it its even opend at the moment. Sure I am going to take my camera with me to share some photos 
As I havent introduced myselve or my garden and plants yet I am also going to do that this comming spring.

A nice introduction to a super Botanic Garden. I agree with you Fermi that's it's a pleasure to see some southern hemisphere plants, even a couple of NZers.
