The Colesbourne Study Day is reinstated :

TUESDAY 18th FEBRUARY 2014
Starts 10 am

Guest Speakers: Val Bourne and Matt Bishop

Talk by Val Bourne: Obsessed with Snowdrops.

Val Bourne is a well-known, award winning author and journalist, and a leading proponent of natural gardening. Val Bourne's obsession about snowdrops almost happened by accident - follow her journey and learn about the history, the people and how to grow them in the garden.

Talk by Matt Bishop: A tour of Snowdrop freaks from the perspective of a snowdrop nutter.

Matt Bishop is a lifelong Galanthophile and is in the process of writing the eagerly anticipated supplement to the Galanthus Monograph, Snowdrops.  Snowdrops 2 will be available soon.  He runs a small business dealing in unusual and sought after snowdrop.

Here is another one for your diary - Alan Street is giving a lecture at the Alpine Garden Society's Snowdrop Day on Saturday 1st February 2014 in Stratford-upon-Avon:- http://www.alpinegardensociety.net/stoppress/AGS+Snowdrop+Day+booking+up+fast/202/

Also, on Sunday 2nd February 2014, Alan will be speaking at Ashwoods Nursery, and this time his lecture will be called Fatal Attraction, here is a link for that one too:-

He will have snowdrops for sale, and can deliver any orders to either of these events.  Not to be missed, he tells me!!! ;D ;D ;D
