This is a plea for information. This has been in the back of my mind for a while now and after the article in the AGS journal recently about what gardeners can do to save wild species this spurred me on.
So this is about saving a wee bit of Scottish horticultural heritage. In 1910 Cocker brothers from Aberdeen (the company is still going but is a rose specialist - I havent had a reply from them) created a suite of primrose cultivars. There are very few listed on catalogues and the Plant Finder now compared to their original list.
Cerise and Purple are listed in the Plantfinder. RBGE has Gem and I am hoping that some of you 'Rockers' have one or two of the others in cultivation. If so then I might put some wheels in motion to try, with your help and get a collection togethers to stop them disappearing.
