Kevock: new bulb catalogue

Happy New Year.

I think gardeners are always hopeful. After the dire conditions last year we look into the new year and believe that warm sunshine, green shoots and bright flowers will come. Even though snow lies on the ground at the moment, many of our gardens are soggy, and like us you probably have let the maintenance slip last year. So we want to encourage you to think of spring and summer. If you can’t get a spade in the ground then it is an ideal time to plan - preferably by a nice warm fire and with your favourite drink to hand. And here is some material to entice you!

Our new bulb catalogue is now on line. This has wonderful bulbs, even more than last year, which must be ordered by February 15th for delivery at the end of March or beginning of April. We have also added some dormant plants that are not bulbs to give you even more choice. Plants and bulbs in this catalogue can't be ordered in the on-line store (because of regulations about having to send goods within a limited time of payment being made). So you should complete an order form and either email it or post it to us.

The normal catalogue of plants in the online store has been updated and you may also make a separate order there, which may be reserved for delivery with your bulbs. (But please send separate orders for plants and bulbs in the two separate catalogues.)

We hope that 2013 is a good year for you, your family and your garden.

Best wishes,

Stella and David Rankin and the team at Kevock

How wonderful to have a CHOICE of alpine catalogues. We have just the one now and are better off than the Aussies who have none at all, specializing in alpines. Of course your population base is so much larger than ours which has to make a difference.

Hokonui sent their (very early) autumn list yesterday and I have to confess to making a right pig of myself. Happily Louise is willing to hold them for me through this impossible moving time. Her own deliberate hybrid between Campanulas pulla and zoysii! Yum. ;D
