What a difference a few weeks makes.  I was on the Kop May 22nd.

Overnight there had been fresh snow, so it was difficult to find any Crocus or Fritillarias.

The first photo show the fresh snow, the second shows my pal Dan who made it to the top of the slope trying to find Fritillaria alburyana.  The last shot shows one of only a few Crocus we found - ? biflorus taurii

Our pictures on Kop gec are made only 28th of May - so only one week difference, but I was there for third time but never saw there any Fritillaria alburyana. Although I have a stock got from Czeck collector as from "Kop daģi gec.". My own gatherings comes from Yaylasuyun gec. and Agziacik gec.

I think it was on my fifth visit when we found a very large number of alburyana - buried under the fresh snow this time  :)
