It's been about a month since last update on this batch of seedlings. Led is only at 50%, room gets too hot at 75% during the Summer.
Starting more seeds.

Thinking this plant is going to always have this issue. Buds are too open when growing, any rain, water gets inside.
Might be ok to hybridize with, but as a plant(flower) not good. Too bad, it's a fancy flower. Maybe in the coming years it will get better.

A pity that it gets water damage, it is a great flower.

It might change, with the way the buds grow. It was late putting up a scape, so maybe they had gotten deformed from the heat. They are not normal looking,.....
Well, did get a pod to set on the above seedling, with my new blue eyed seedling(Blue Jeans Cuttoff's X EKSB). Hopefully it keeps growing. Might be a good match, I can see some blue in the eye of the water damage flower.
Good match?

It's the same plant that was water damaged. Have three seed pods growing, all crosses to Blue Jean Cutoff's X EKSB seedling.
Another Yoga Man X EKSB seedling has put up a scape, growing under LED's.
Lets hope for a blue eye on this one,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
It's growing fast. 2-3 weeks and first flower will be open.

This is a cross that was made last Summer 2024. Wasn't sure if I was going to grow these. Will be starting them this weekend and probably grown in a tub instead of cups. Not really into teeth, had Forestlake Ragamuffin to make Halloween Theme daylilies.

Each to their own, I like the toothed edge to the flowers.

First flower opened.
Think it was too close to the LED light. Going to place the plant outside. Second biggest bud also looks to be dried out some. So will have to wait for other buds to open to see a decent flower.
Surprised this doesn't have a nice fancy edge, maybe it will improve with the next flowers.

Second flower, the anthers had also gotten dried out by the LED.

Would you expect to see a different color outcome if flowered in natural sunlight?

Brighter, more vivid colors, the LED fades the flowers.
In May, received huge fans of Yoga Man(4). Planted in the ground and was regrowing back well, then 3 weeks of no rain and 90+ temps. The fans kept getting smaller and smaller.
Didn't want to chance losing during the Winter, dug it up and put into a pot last week. Already looking much better under the LED.
