unknown plant 2009= Helenium amarum ?
« on: September 19, 2009, 09:51:49 PM »
Hi everybody,
Last year I've taken seeds of this beautiful plant in a container in the street. After a spring sowing it came quickly and is still in bloom by now. It has small 3cm helenium-like flowers and a thin foliage. It has a trailing habit and is about 15cm high. I've found it to be nice planted alongside convolvulus sabatius. It's probably an annual ( a hybrid? ). Sorry! certainly not a rock garden plant...
Anybody knows something about it?
Many thanks
Kind regards
Jean-Patrick

I have some surplus seeds of this Helenium Amarum which might be sown in a rock garden ( why not? ). But I suspect it might be a little invasive by self-seeding?
Anyone interested can send me a pm.
