Robin, I don't remember how long it took the Tigridia to produce it's first flower but it has been flowering for many years.  With only one flowering bulb producing two or three flowers which last less than a day I get excited about it every year.

Paul, Rogan, I measured the flower today and it was about 5cm with the tepals extended.  The stem is about 10cm with another 5cm to the base of the flower.
