Gardening season over in the very north.
« on: October 02, 2008, 09:11:26 AM »
My gardening season is almost over.. only a few bulbs to plant, and a few seeds still to collect. Thats why I've become silent the later weeks. I went to my mountain cabin two days ago to prepare for winter there. The pic below show what met me when I woke up in the morning. Winter is slowly creeping down on us.

I can't imagine a time when the garden is shut down for winter. It just doesn't happen here. But I wish you many warm fires and glasses of something equally warming and cheer-making. We'll miss you Magnar, so I also wish for as short a winter as possible in chilly Norway.

Magnar, a stunning view, if a chilling one!

Lelsey, we will not "lose" Magnar over the winter: while his garden is sleeping he will have more time to post photos of what was happening in the summer.... won't you, Magnar??  ;)  :-*

Min winter temp -8 or -9°C. Max summer temp 40°C. Thankfully, maybe once or twice a year only.
