New Japanese Nursery

I found a new little Japanese nursery “pino alto”.
They sell many plants - often wild collected - with phytosanitary certificat.
The best is you can buy plants at other Japanese nurseries via this nursery.
I got many awesome Rohdeas, never got better quality from over sea!

The website lists both plants and seeds for most of the species offered. I would hope that the plants are grown in the nursery from wild collected seeds. It would be good to have some clarification of this, maybe from a Japanese speaker! I must say, there are lots of tempations on the list...

It would be very good to have clarifications about this.
I don't think it needs to be from a Japanese speaker; the list is in clear, plain English.  We can have doubts in the case where both seeds and plants are offered, but how about where only plants are offered ?

Reminds me of ChenY nursery when it was well known they were selling plants/tubers uprooted from the wild by hundreds and that didn't stop many purchasing from them.

It's a very small nursery and the wild collected seeds are not from endangered species. It's allowed.
I collected wild plants too in Germany to get starter ones from Allium ursinum. yummy
This is Japan and not China.
To get a phyto for a herbaceous perennial there are 9 times !!! inspection necessary => it takes about 3 months.
This is the reason the plant pipeline from Japan to Europe is dried out.
I got many Rohdea there and they are bred for 500 years by gardeners.

And you can communicate in English with the nursery.

It seems you didn't read my post well. I expressed concern about the "many plants - often wild collected" not about the seeds.

Then, collecting few plants for the personal garden it is different than collecting in commercial purpose (ie. large quantities).
It doesn't matter if it's done in Japan, China, Europe, America....the effect is the same - on long term, the whole ecosystem from where the plants where collected will be affected. It is not only about the plants, that would be a very simplistic way to look at the situation.

To calm things down.
The wild collected plants and seeds are from a field and a mountain which are owned by a friend of the owner.
So they are grown wild but not “really” collected in the wild. And it’s a tiny nursery so the amounts are small.
=> It’s ethically correct to buy there.

I know the owner very well.
She is absolute trustworthy. You will get your plants for your money.
I got very healthy plants (Rohdea) after the 3 months phyto ceremony.
And the big advantage of this nursery is: The owner can provide you with plants from other nurseries including phyto.
=> You can get nearly all Japanese plants and seeds via this nursery.
