Sternbergia lutea & Narcissus cyclamineus

I have 2 questions.

1) I have grown Sterbergia lutea in my garden for the past 4 years, and they bloom nicely every fall. I wanted to replant them,  divide them, and freshen the soil. Will Sternbergia benefit from this?

2) How often should Narcissus cyclamineus be watered in the summer, when it is dormant? I know that it grows in a wet/moist habitat, and therefore assume it requires some summer moisture.

Sternbergia is in the garden, and Narcissus in a pot.

I have Narcissus cyclamineus in the garden which is Clay and normally moisture in the summer
The ones in pots I water the whole summer
the dormant bulbs re-root end of July already

best year I find for replanting Sternbergia is if they get less flowers
here after 4 to 5 years

Narcissus Cyclamineus
they don't like to be planted deep
here only 3 -4 cm
not sure for canada because of the frost

It's easy to tell which bulbs have multiplied when they are in growth. When your sternbergias flower in the fall, lift the ones that need it, divide, and immediately replant. If they are growing well in fertile soil, you may be able to do this every year.

The keys to success are to lift early when the roots are very short, and to replant immediately.

N. cyclamineus grows & flowers  quite well for me potted in a mix of:
2composted bark : 1peat : 1perlite + Vitax Q4 (5g/litre). The pots are kept all year round in an open sand plunge & only watered in very hot weather (i.e., these days, never)
