This is Proiphys cunninghamii from Queensland in Australia. The Proiphys tend to resemble the South American Eucharis, but are no more closely related to Eucharis than they are to Hippeastrum. Proiphys and the other Australian amaryllids (other than Crinum) are all more closely related to other Australian species than they are to any non-Australian amaryllids.
