This year's RHS Summer Bulb Event will be held on 2 & 3 August at RHS Bridgewater Gardens, Manchester.

More details are available at: https://www.rhs.org.uk/shows-events/viewevent?efid=3405

I'm going to visit so I'll pop a few images on the Forum after the event.
Yemen, what a country ... Haraz mountains, Socotra, Sana'a, Hadramaut, the empty quarter.... a country of stunning, mind altering beauty...and the friendliest of people.

Great show. 1500 show visitors on Saturday. Fewer on Sunday (due to rain).

Exceptional classes of gladioli (some of the UK's best growers showing). Good classes of dahlias, crocosmia, eucomis, zantedeschia. Smaller numbers of other bulbous plants: lilies, begonias, oxalis etc. Two trade stands. Very popular children's activity table with an opportunity to make paper flowers and all things flower-related. Advisory staff on a table panel and floating around the marquee. Informal 10 minute talks from experts (first image shows Christine, Lady Skelmersdale in full flow). All in all a really good event that seemed to be enjoyed by the visiting public with many leaving with bulbous purchases and a lot of inspiration.

A few images, some before the public arrived:

I forget got to mention that the gardens looked stunning on 2 August. The Chinese Garden is progressing well and should be fully planted by October 2026 for the New Moon Festival that month.
