I am looking for help to identify this plant which came to us as Aster alpinus var. dolomitica. I was expecting pretty pink/purple flowers but this doesn't quite fit the bill.

Gerd Stopp obviously thinks I am too impatient. He says wait 2 weeks and we will have a wonderful Aster alpinus.
