Found this photo  of a spectacular yellow gentian - it was new to me. I'm told it is an endemic from Taiwan -
 Gentiana flavomaculata

Probably not in cultivation in the UK - but can you imagine the excitement if it were?

Wonderful plant Maggi. I Googled it to find out more and see that it is more commonly either white or pale yellow, so this intense yellow form must be unusual. The Flora of China also points out it is an annual and occurs in grassland slopes at 1800-3000 m in Taiwan.

Maggi, definitely a "WOW" plant with spectacular color. If it's an annual I suppose it would be posible if you had a greenhouse for a head start. Getting seed would probably be a problem.
