Arenaria name

Hi,
I bought an Arenaria in the spring and the label was Arenaria alvacariensis. This name comes up in Google but there isn't much information on it.
Yesterday I saw a plant of very similar appearance labeled as A. alfacariensis. This name has a lot of information on Google.

Are there two with similar spelling or is one correct and the other not?

Hope someone can help.

It seems it is Arenaria alfacarensis Pamp., (note that it is "ensis" and not "iensis"), and there is no variant species with a "v".  In terms of similarly named species and possible label garbling, there is an Arenaria algarbiensis.

Hi Mark,
Thanks for doing that. I would not have known where to look.
The two places I have seen this use 'iensis' and one of them uses a 'v' in one place and an 'f' in another.

I think I should be using alfacarensis.

The plant has done really well since the spring - it was a very small specimen when I bought it.
