Dear All,
A new blog has been launched for sharing information about Crocus sativus, and a first discussion is open on the topic of blooming synchronization (Title on the Blog: Pics de Synchronisation).
The phenomenon is not properly documented, therefore impossible to investigate with scientific methods.
However, recurring reports from farmers show that blooming peaks, which dates vary from year to year, gets often synchronized across farms despite important distances, climate and soil differences, etc.
This tool is an attempt to collect significant amount of information that would allow getting a clearer picture + starting to part external and endogenous factors.
You are most welcome to place a note in French or English, and even develop your observations with other crocus species.
Kind regards.
Dr. Lachaud

Thanks a lot Maggi.
There is also a Facebook group forming around C. sativus, which has started discussions with people from the Crocus bank EU project.
I would very much like to aggregate more English speakers and those willing to join are most welcome.
Get connected there and I'll add you in https://www.facebook.com/christian.michel.lachaud (https://www.facebook.com/christian.michel.lachaud)
