Trees absorb CO2 as they grow so the more forests we plant the more CO2 we can absorb. When wood is used as a construction material, the CO2 that has been absorbed is "locked up" within the wood for as long as the wood is in use. With Forest Research and Moray House School of Education.

This exhibition celebrates the British oak through a variety of wooden furniture, objects, scientific study and art. Not strictly December, but if anyone is in or around RBGE this weekend 24th-25th of Nov. between 12.30 pm and 3.30 pm some of the Colombian phd students are doing a drop-in session in the Gateway talking about the alpine vegetation of the Paramo.
