Title: Bryonia alba

This came to me today from a friend in Germany. Can you help?

Are you familiar with Bryonia alba?

I got some seeds from the UK, and they grew well. I have B dioica and alba in 2 different buckets and both grow really fine. Meanwhile B. dioica has seeds all over, while alba has not one berry!
 
Do you have any idea, why this can happen? It was blossoming all summer, and still is.

Mark,

It sounds like Bryonia alba is not self fertile, while B. dioica is?  Assuming that you have only one plant of each of course?  The other possiblity of course is that they utilise 2 different pollinators and that you don't have the one necessary for B. alba in your area?

I was just proposing possibilities.  I've never grown Bryonia, so it is not from personal experience.
