Can anyone suggest a UK source for any of the Globba sp. please?
I bought a Globba winitii seven years ago ( can't remember who from ), before we had even relocated to UK. In the move it was neglected by me, >:( :(, and withered away. Now I have the perfect conditions for it and its relations, I can't find a source. Thanks in advance. :) :)

I think Crûg Farm Plants would be a likely supplier of that sort of thing, Ron - have you tried them?
Edit: No, they only seem to list this:Globba aff. hookeri - HWJCM471
http://www.mailorder.crug-farm.co.uk/default.aspx?pid=9577 (http://www.mailorder.crug-farm.co.uk/default.aspx?pid=9577) .... but it may be worth contacting them to see anyway....

Thanks very much for checking for me Maggi. 8)
There were a number of species available when we came back to UK, but they seem to be lost now. Seed would be great too, ( maybe preferable? ).

I know this topic is old, but possibly you'd like to check here:http:// www.himalayangardens.com/ (http://www.himalayangardens.com/)
I have not ordered from them before but think Globba is not something very critical, plus they're quite cheap - imported from a nursery in India, I think.

Thank you for bothering to post this Michael, very kind of you .. 8) 8)
They appear to be able to supply some very nice plants, and the prices are certainly more than reasonable I think. Some interesting books as well, :)
Does anyone have any experience dealing with them ?

Hey Ron,
It's been a while since your post but last week I got some plants from them and they are all very good quality and mostly more plants than ordered.
Obviously the plants are imported, but theyare surely nursery-grown and not from wild sources - thus I'm very happy with them.
Kind regards,
Michael
