First flowers on my Iris domestica "Hello Yellow" ;D
I have sown this seeds in year 2011 - march 29.
The seeds I have received from a nice friend from USA ....( impossibly to get here this plant or seeds in Europe )
Enjoy

What precisely is Iris domestica? It looks like a Sisyrinchium, maybe from the flower and the foliage, S. striatum?
-
Once known as Belamcanda chinensis Lesley, but yes it does look rather like Sisyrinchium palmifolium.

Yes Hans, a nice variation. Should be lots of seed.

Oh right, thanks. The only Belamcanda I've had was B. chinensis and it was spotty orange. The pics just didn't seem iris-like to me.

It grows like Iris confusa, but I domestica always falls victim to slugs for me :'(
