opened this morning and continues over the weekend. The Ayrshire group of the club once again put on a display even though this is not the easiest time of year to get alpines in flower.

Begonias especially the large doubles are a feature of Ayr which hosts the British championship for 12 cut blooms.

This Eucomis vandermerwei 'Octopus' was my favourite thing on the Ayrshire group's stand.
