Title: Cypripedium smithii
Post by: yijiawang on July 07, 2012, 01:45:02 AM
Cypripedium smithii maybe with another correct name? but I still would like to call it as smithii...because easy to be remembered by a Chinese ;)
Found a special form of C.smithii in the last month, very beautiful pure dark purple flower, or can I call it BLACK slipper orchid? I think it should get great genetic for hybrid,F1 maybe darker than tibeticum hybrid.

It is not easy to display correct color via digital picture only, camera difficult to catch correct light strength, flower color is too dark.
