I've had an email from someone in New Hampshire wanting a plant or seeds of Paris japonica. Does anyone know of a source in the US? I'll pass on any information. Thanks

I know two sources. Not cheap though, considering that I can get one here in The Netherlands for 'just' EUR 8.50:

Thanks John, I'll pass on the information. I'm surprised you can get it for EUR 8.50 in the Netherlands, it's usually about £20 here in the UK. I bought mine many years ago from Crug, and although it grows OK, it has never flowered, despite trying different conditions and situations. I thought this year was going to be the year, but it did not enjoy the frosty nights in April and is now sulking.

Diane I think I am still on a waiting list at Edrom for this plant. I may have saved up for it by the time I get to the top ;D

There is a correct way of growing it, even in pots. Just wish I knew how.
I bought a plant ~10-12 years ago from a now closed nursery in the south east (owner name Salmon?), had a bed full of Tulipa sprengeri.
The first year it increased from the original 1-2 noses to ~5 or 6, even flowered for 3 or 4 years, but poor flowers, not the great showy ones. From there it was all down hill. Think I still have a section of root in a large pot, but not even leaves for the last year or 2.

Hello, I have grown Paris japonica for around 20 years it is slow but bulks up here in an ordinary garden soil with some added humus the plant has set seed over the last 5 year and this has been sown when collected all pots have been kept not a single seedling untill surprie surprise the seed sown in 2010 has germinated this spring how long will I need to wait for a flower well hope in my lifetime. I post two pictures one plant has 9 flowers, cheers Ian the Christie kind.
