For those interested, the Callens family are selling the first bulbs of Galanthus 'Green Mile': http://www.greenmilenursery.be/galanthus.html (http://www.greenmilenursery.be/galanthus.html)

What price ??? :o ::)

That's interesting. Sounds like Robin managed to chip some of his bulbs successfully. I gave him some advise on how to do it himself and ever since have been hoping that he was either successful or decided to ignore my advice and get someone with experience to do it. It's a great relief to know that I wasn't responsible for the stock of Green Mile being lost :)

500 Euros according to the website. There's a link on the website for pre-ordering a bulb or bulbs. It seems they're trying to raise some money to help send Robin to study in New Zealand, at the Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology.

It's outside my price range but at least I got some Green Mile pollen from Robin.

I hope you will get a 'cut' for your chipping advice Martin. ;D

I think the pollen was my reward. :)

It's a lovely specimen but 500 euros is astoundingly expensive. I wonder how many they will sell?

That’s way beyond what I can afford but it’s nonetheless a very showy galanthus.

At that price they are selling it for more than they get on Ebay approx £410. If I could afford it I'd want mine now. There isnt much difference between buying it dormant now/June or next February other than buying it dormant means good roots in mt soil

Wasn't it Green Tear that was available on ebay rather than Green Mile or am I getting confused? Both stunning snowdrops but not at that price!!
