Title: Looking for pics!

Hi

I am presently looking for scenery pics to complete the web page I am preparing for the garden where I work ( Alpine garden Haut-Chitelet in France). Still in project, so I can't show anything concrete for the moment. It's firstly meant to be written in french, but I would also like to be able to translate it all once in english, but that would come then later.

I intend to write for each geographical group some explanations about climate, landscapes, and add also 1 or 2 pics of those geographical groups, which are simply the main mountainous or arctic regions of the world, where alpine plants are to find. 1 or 2  pics of caracteristic plants in nature are also welcome for each geographical group.

There are already on the forum many brilliant pics of scenery and plants from members who report the place they are travelling to or simply live nearby. I shall contact those directly then to see if they could/would help.

Here the main places of which pics would be wished:

North America:
- the Rockies
- possibly also northern Canada

South America:
- the chilean southern Andes
- lowlands of Patagonia

Africa:
- Drakensberg

Alps of New Zealand southern Island

Asia:
- mountains of northern Japan
- SW and central China
- Himalaya
- Kamtchatka, Siberia or Central Asia ( Altaï, Tien Shan)

Europe:
- Caucasus
- Turkey
- Carpatians
- Balkan peninsula
- Italia
- Alps
- Pyrenees
- Sierra Nevada or other mountainous/alpine regions of Spain
- Scandinavia

Of course the use of the pics won't be of any commercial purpose, and name of the pic-owner will be added each time.

Good luck on the website, Philippe! Do let me know if there are any photos I can offer, especially any of the species I sent you seed of- I should have photos of most, and sometimes the general area they came from...

You could try contacting Phil & Gwen Phillips regarding photos of plants & scenery, especially the Rockies.
