I got some Crocus seeds yesterday from the second allocation. My question, should I sow them now, or wait until fall? I have never sown Crocus before.
-
Ulla
I would sow them now and they may germinate in the spring but if not will hold over until next year. I received some last week and sowed them.
-
Yes Ulla, Tony's right.
Sow them now, half-way down the pot, put them outside an leave them, They may not germinate but will take no harm from being in the pot until they do germinate.
-
I agree with Tony. Sow now, keep moist and expose to winter cold and see if they germinate in Spring. If they don't come up before Summer, then put somewhere sheltered from heavy rain during Summer until the Autumn rains arrive then water and expose to cold again.

Thanks for your advice. The seeds are soaked, and will be sown tomorrow.

I have gotten some crocus seeds as well and had same question, thanks! Is it the same both for spring and Autumn flowering crocus?
-
Certainly is Lilli :)

OK thanks :) will sow them all, put them outside and hope for the best!

They will do fine, I'm sure. They are desperate to grow, as are we all.
