Title: Unknown evergreen tree
Post by: Stephen Vella on December 21, 2011, 10:42:26 PM
Hi,

Im needing help to identify this 4 meter evergreen tree. The flowers are arranged in 5's with 5 stamens and small petals that are mauve with a slight fragrance. The leaves are tough and shiny, looks like Privet buts its not.

Hope these picks are enough, any ideas?

cheers

Maybe, Heptacodium miconioides?

It is not a Heptacodium. Not evergreen. And not this type of fruits.

I agree with Uli, it's not Heptacodium, but I'm not sure what it is.

Photinia species? If not that genus then likely something Rosaceae. It seems to have that look.
