Title: Nerine bowdenii Alba
Post by: Heinie on December 10, 2011, 07:29:58 PM: This Nerine bowdenii Alba is flowering for me now. I am so excited with this rare flowers and visit them many times a day.

Heinie - Fantastic! Isn't it flowering awfully early for you? The bowdeniis have just finished flowering here!

Thank you for the compliment.

This particular bulb is probably still growing for the Northern Hemisphere conditions. I purchased two bulbs from a grower in the UK earlier this year. They are extremely hard to find here. My other Nerines are just waking up now with leaves showing their noses above ground.

maybe I kept them a little to long dry
but now , with the cold weather , they keep flowering

and is more hardy as the above one
