Hi,
I have not much experience with arums so could anyone identify this one for me? Its a fairly poor picture but I am hoping someone might come to my assistance.
Kind Regards, Marcus Harvey

My first impression (for what it's worth) was Arum creticum, Marcus.
-
Would say the same, Marcus. Arum creticum!
-
Marcus:
Is it scented?
-
Hi,
No it is not scented and the spathe is hooded rather than rolled back, as in creticum.
I must have got it as seed from dear Harry Hay, who is not with us anymore, but labels lost when I ran a boundary fence almost smack dab over them.
Alpinum has a purple spadix and maculatum has apparently, different leaves.
I don't know ???
Cheers, Marcus

Looks more like Arum italicum to me. Possibily Arum italicum subsp italicum?
Arum creticum spathe is reflexed at maturity and spadix much longer, exceeding spathe.
Cheers.

I agree with Doug, more likely Arum italicum in the form that is described as ssp. albispathum.
-
If it is albispathum, the peduncle should be white. Can't see it in the picture

No sure if that is part of the original diagnosis, as far as I am aware the albi only refers to the flower. Then again, the flower seems more yellowish green than white so might as well be "normal" italicum. A picture from a different angle or the naughty bits would be helpful.

Hi Guys,
The flower is greenish white rather than white and the peduncle is yellowish. Some of the leaves are marked, some not, so I guess most indicators point to italicum ssp italicum.
I did have another species I wanted sorted but the flower has withered before I could get around to snapping a pic.
I appreciate all of the comments from each and everyone of you.
Cheers, Marcus
