Currently flowering and not likely to win a beauty pageant ::)---Raised from seed ---individual flowers smaller than a 'pinky' fingernail.
Confirmation please from any South American bulb expert . :)

Dave, Chilean bulbs are incredibly difficult to grow. ANY of them reaching flowering size is a real achievement. Congratulations. Yes, it is Solaria miersioides.

Maybe the pics give you that impression Lesley ;D--I'm taking it to our local alpine plant show this Friday however as i said I'm not expecting it to win ......... ;)
Hopefully it's not beginners luck Alberto as i have a couple of Solenomelus sps and Gethyum atropurpureum nearly at flowering size :D
I've bookmarked your Chileflora link Davey-- (ps good seed seems to be setting on the Geissy.)
