Hi
Me again, this time with the following question.
I sow castilleja's seed for about 2 months, and I've seen that something is coming out now. I have never grown castilleja, so I have no idea what should a castilleja seedling look like.
Anybody to confirm me, with great pleasure, it is indeed one, or to tell me it's just another weed, as I don't sterilize my compost before sowing ( though I don't remember having already seen such an eventual weed growing in my others seedling pots).

It's a long time since I had a couple Philippe (briefly :() but I'd say it COULD be right. Certainly I wouldn't pull it out yet. I find that I recognise easily enough, the weed seedlings that appear in newly sown pots. There's one at present I'm leaving until I'm sure, but the clover in a frit pot has gone and the cress in a crocus pot has also met its end. :)

Thank you Lesley.
I have also googled meanwhile, and found 1 pic with castilleja seedling. Together with your answer, I think I am becoming very happy right now, although it's not gonna be an easy thing to grow this little treasure.
I was really surprised to see something coming out in this pot, and surely didn't expect such a quick germination without "wintering". But well, the problems, they probably only really come after that :P
I have been carefully by planting a simple festuca seedling at the time I have sown the castilleja's seeds. Let's see what it will be now, and if these both will match together :)
