Title: Yellow Composite ID Required Please
Post by: alpines on August 03, 2011, 07:22:23 PM
This plant came to me from a 'reputable' alpine nursery here in the USA as Erigeron uncialis, which it definitely is not. Prior to flowering, I sent a photo of the foliage to the nursery asking them what they had in fact sent me. The response was that "it might be" Erigeron caespitosus, which again it definitely is not. I'm not even sure if this is an Erigeron. The flower is on a 9" stem (it is growing in full sun in a very lean mix so it shouldn't be drawn) so maybe this is the height it actually attains.
I would appreciate someone giving me a name for this please

Looks a lot like Hymenoxys acaulis.

That's what I thought Aaron but I thought the foliage didn't look right for acaulis.
