Apologies to everyone for the disruption to "normal service" today - the SRGC Website and Forum were offline for several hours... due to some problem at the Server.
All seems to be well now and I hope your time without the site was not too hard to bear ..... seems that a lot of us were taking the time to catch up on re-potting bulbs, house work ( that was really drastic :o) and with the likes of the NARGS forum!
-
A few minutes ago, I tried to log on but received the message Error 403 access denied by server Apache (something or other)
I then came out of XP and into Windows 7 and had no trouble connecting this time.
Any ideas ?

Back for the moment ;D

house work
Are you allowed to swear on here Maggi!
Tom its all to do with timing on when you try to connect to the server.
-
Now I feel good again

It's working...no it's not.....yes it is......no it's not. I think I'm developing some kind of obsessive compulsive thing here. That and a nervous twitch. I need my fix regularly, tic, tic :P :P :P

It was very hard in a rainy day to find no friends for having a chat ::) ;D ;D ;D

Sorry, Neil, it was a case of desperation , I don't normally use that kind of language - I'll wash my mouth out. ;)

That's good to hear - thought I'd been banned already ;D
-
It is also difficult on a sunny day to be without the forum. I have begun to understand that the forum works just like a drug.
-
I agree totally with you Ulla ;) Completly addict ;D

This issue is still not fully resolved so the site could go off again. Please bear with us.

I went to have a last look at the Forum as I usually do, before I went to bed around 10.45pm (southern winter time) and had the same message as you did Tom, with all the Forum emails. Went to bed deciding to sort it in the morning, and heigh ho, over night as I sleep, the miracle happens and all seems fine this morning. :D

I ran three anti-virus scanning programmes after first updating them, reset internet settings, cleared cache, checked router, connection etc etc and felt delighted that I had managed to reconnect after all that - it seemed worth the effort and now I find the problems weren't at my end at all.
Good to have normal services running again.

cmon, admin, stop hitting your head on the keyboard and concentrate on the job in hand. Headaches do not assist the thinking process. :P :P :P ;D

Never noticed there was any problem with the forum. My iPad wasn't connecting to my server since Saturday, frustrating. I couldn't find the problem so I just put it back to factory settings and it solved whatever the problem was. Now I have loads of topics to read, hate to think I might have missed out on something ;D

You tell him, Maren.... he's been doing that head-banging thing for years on end... I wouldn't care but he's a bit long in the tooth to still be a punk.....and who wears a mohican nowadays? ::) :-\ ;D

All of that is why the advice "sleep on it" is good. :)

Thanks to the team for getting us back on line, it was so nice to be able to log on with my morning cup of tea ;D
-
Or no way out on windy days ::)

Nicole, you have to go out, otherwise you will miss the wonderful things to come in and turn on the computer. :D

I still can't get in if I do a google search on SRGC, then hit the forum link- I get a permission denied message. I got in this time by clicking on a google hit on one of the threads.
Creating a brand new bookmark of the forum front page seems to have sorted it now though.
