Six days in the Italian mountains. Accompanied by my wife and my grandson.

We are in pension and can choose us the time. The weather was fine in the south of the Alps, in the north it has rained and it was cold.

There is the mountain made of silicate rock at the Castellazza only not far from the rolling passport. The burr is made holes in again of the first World War with old positions there. More wax Leontopodium alpina, Eritrichum nanum, Primula glutinosa, Saxifraga paniculata and much above.
One has a magnificent view of the surrounding mountains over San Martino from here.

How badly had at that time to have been for the soldier winters. partial are the ways only 50 cm widely.

Day three:
Passo Pordoi, Patonberge, Bindelweg
The Patonberge consist of volcano rock and have a particularly beautiful flora. The finest weather has accompanied us also here again.

Great pictures Karl. When I see Thlaspi rotundifolia in a picture I can still smell it, one of the most gorgeous plant scents there is (to my nose anyway).

Day four:
Only, yesterday afternoon, we went in the direction of Lake Garda, Lac Ledro, Lac Idro and up to the Passo crozedomini where we stayed on a Malga.
We find out the very flora rich mountain slopes the next day and return to Lake Garda to Sirmione where we could recover from the effort a little.

Swim and round off a comfortable shipping the day. On the day six we drive home again.
