Title: Two IDs Required please.
Post by: alpines on July 03, 2011, 02:25:12 PM
Thank goodness for our forumists. I would appreciate any help in IDing these two plants. Both given to me without labels. Not sure whether the Campanula is a hybrid or not.
Many thanks in advance

The first is Stachys officinalis (probably S.o. 'Densiflorus' a dwarf form of the species)--and very nice! Congratulations

Many thanks Carlo. It is indeed a very nice plant and long flowering too. And adaptable! I have it growing in a neutral to alkaline soil in the rock garden and in an acid soil in amongst azaleas and acers. A great do-er. Thanks for your quick response and a Happy 4th for tomorrow.
