Title: Sprekelia - why it does not multiply?
Post by: Cris on May 24, 2011, 04:31:46 PM
Hi,

I have some Sprekelia bulbs, since a few years ago, but none of them have made ofsets...

The bulbs have space enough to spread its roots, have a dormancy dry period in winter, and, I've already lost some, donīt know why...

Tanks

Cris

Great to know of lovely Cris again, hope you are well.

Cris, are they in a very gritty soil?

Some clones in the trade offset well, others remain as single or few forever. In any case they start offsetting when they are fat enough. Not before.

Hi Ezeiza, good to see you ;) it passed so many time...How are you?

The soil is not much gritty, do you think the problem is there? Because when they were offered to me, they almost had no soil (was in a very old pot, and many bulb in a little pot).

These bulbs were not from the trade, they are very old...
