On a recent trip to Shrewsbury I met Dr Peter Boyd who is working on a book on Rosa spinosissima aka Rosa pimpinellifolia, the Scots or Burnet Rose.
Peter is seeking photographs of this rose in its wild habitats. He would like to include them in the forthcoming book. Due accreditation (and perhaps a fee?) will be forthcoming. Here is a link to his website:

If you can help please leave a post here or contact me.
(I cannot find Peter's email on his website so will not publish it here. If you email me I will forward to Peter.)

Tony - I can provide pictures of pimpinellifolia growing and flowering at only a few cm in height , with Geranium sanguineum on Walney Island.
