I'm about to pot up M. communis plants. Which potting soil should I use? Or do they grow in any type of soil?
Thanks, Hans

I don't think that Myrtle is terribly fussy about whether the soil is acid or alkaline, Hans. Nice loam mix that holds some moisture and drains well is all that is needed I think.... plus somewhere sheltered to overwinter it.
That being said I don't grow it... but friends who do, had it in a neutral soil, and took it into a conservatory overwinter.

Thanks Maggi, that sounds pretty simple! I'll give it a try...
